Local 054 concludes mediation, requests report of recommendations
EDMONTON – AUPE General Support Services Local 054 completed its last day of scheduled mediation with the Capital Health Region Aug. 29. The union bargaining committee has asked mediator David Jones to write a report with recommendations for settlement.
The bargaining committee has asked for the report to be issued by Sept. 8, 2008.
The union’s position is that, if the contents of the mediator’s report are acceptable, the report will then be released to members and subject to a ratification vote.
The committee and employer were able to resolve a number of disputed non-monetary articles but could not settle outstanding pay issues.
