Local 001 Website goes live
EDMONTON – The new Local 001 Website — www.aupe.ca/local001 — is now on-line.
The new Website is designed to be a resource for all members of AUPE’s largest local, said Local 001 Chair Ann Green.
“This site will be frequently updated so that members can keep up with planned local activities,” said Green.
In addition, she said, the site contains a complete up-to-date list of contact information for local and chapter executive members, worksite contacts and union stewards.
“If a member needs help from the union on the worksite, she can quickly find the name of a steward nearby using this resource,” Green said.
Local 001 held its regular Local Council meeting at AUPE Headquarters in Edmonton on Saturday, Sept. 23.
Local 001, which represents administrative support staff directly employed by the provincial government, has approximately 7,500 members in all corners of the province.
