GSS radio ads launch Monday
EDMONTON – Alberta’s largest union will launch radio advertisements Monday in support of its 22,000 General Support Services members in negotiations with Alberta Health Services.
“The media campaign will showcase the important work these members do every day to help make and keep Albertans healthy,” said AUPE President, Guy Smith.
“GSS employees are equal and important members of Alberta’s health care team and they deserve a contract that recognizes that,” said Smith.
Last week, GSS members rejected a mediator’s contract recommendations for the group’s first post-transition collective bargaining agreement by 95-per-cent.
Watch for GSS television ads to launch on all major Canadian television networks, Feb. 20.
Alberta Health Services has agreed to resume bargaining with AUPE in early February.
