Executive approves chapter restructuring in three ANC locals
EDMONTON – The Executive Committee of the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees has approved a restructuring of chapters in three important health care locals.
The changes affect chapters in Local 044, which represents Auxiliary Nursing Care (ANC) employees in Southern Alberta, Local 045, representing ANC employees of the Calgary Health Region and Local 046, which represents ANC employees of the Capital Health Region.
The changes are as follows:
*Local 044 – ANC South
- Chapter 001 – Chinook (no change)
- Chapter 002 – Red Deer Regional Hospital, Valley Park Manor, Red Deer Nursing Home
- Chapter 003 – Palliser (no change)
- Chapter 004 – Castor, Coronation, Consort, Hanna
- Chapter 005 – Wetaskiwin
- Chapter 006 – Alberta Hospital Ponoka
- Chapter 007 – Drayton Valley (no change)
- Chapter 008 – Stettler
- Chapter 009 – Drumheller
- Chapter 010 – Olds, Innisfail
- Chapter 011 – Three Hills, Trochu
- Chapter 012 – Rocky Mountain House, Sundre
- Chapter 013 – Lacombe, Ponoka General Hospital
- Local 045 – ANC Calgary
- The following changes affect renal dialysis employees of the Calgary Health Region:
- Medicine Hat, Lethbridge and Fort Macleod Dialysis – moved to Chapter 005 (Claresholm, Vulcan, Carmangay)
- Community Dialysis Health on 12th – moved to Chapter 008 (Calgary Urban Chapter)
- Olds, Hanna Dialysis – moved to Chapter 009 (Didsbury)
- The following changes affect renal dialysis employees of the Calgary Health Region:
- Local 046 – ANC Capital Health
- Members working at Aspen House and the Provincial Building in Morinville will be moved to Chapter 004, Sturgeon Hospital – St. Albert.
