Court rejects judicial review of AHS consolidation, AUPE reviewing options
EDMONTON – Alberta Union of Provincial Employees is reviewing its options after the union’s application for a judicial review of the consolidation of a number of Alberta Health Services bargaining units was dismissed this week.
The May 18, 2010 Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta decision rejected an application by AUPE and several other unions requesting a judicial review of an Alberta Labour Relations Board decision that authorized the consolidation of the AHS bargaining units.
The union is reviewing the decision and will update members on any further action as soon as possible.
