AUPE posts on-line bargaining survey for Local 118/013 members employed by APA
EDMONTON – Employees of the Alberta Pension Administration Corp., members of AUPE Local 118/013, have the opportunity to fill out an on-line bargaining survey as negotiations for a new collective agreement begin.
“We want to hear from members of this local so that their concerns can be addressed as bargaining proceeds,” said AUPE Staff Negotiator Jim Petrie, who leads the union bargaining committee.
Local 118/013 members can complete the survey by clicking on the link at the bottom of this story, or on the icon on AUPE’s Website home page.
AUPE served notice of its intent to bargain on Oct. 24, Petrie said. The current collective agreement between AUPE and the APA is set to expire on Dec. 31, 2005.
“At present, we’re awaiting a response from the employer regarding the makeup of their bargaining committee,” Petrie said. “As soon as we have that, we will schedule dates for bargaining.”
Petrie said AUPE hopes to move quickly into negotiations as soon as members have indicated their bargaining priorities. “We’re asking members of the local to complete the on-line survey by Monday, Nov. 21, 2005.”
AUPE represents about 150 employees of the APA.
