AUPE Local 118/109 ratifies agreement with Alberta Terminals (Cargill Ltd.)
Members of Alberta Union of Provincial Employees Local 118/109 have ratified a new agreement with their employer, Alberta Terminals, a division of Cargill Ltd.
Approximately 40 members of AUPE Local 118/109 are employed as grain handlers and trades people. The new deal delivers wage increases of 3 per cent in each year of the agreement, which is valid for three years, beginning on Jan. 1, 2010 and expiring on Dec. 31, 2012.
The agreement was ratified by a mail-in ballot, which was counted on Mar. 5, 2010 at AUPE headquarters in Edmonton.
