Mailing of ballots to members of Locals 054, 056, 057, 058, and 095 began Tuesday Mar. 20. Any member who has not received their ballot by Monday, April 2 can contact AUPE headquarters to receive a replacement ballot to vote on the tentative agreement reached between the locals and Alberta Health Services.

AUPE President Guy Smith poses with Music for Hope organizer Isaac McNeill at the first annual Music for Hope Gala, March 17 in Fort Saskatchewan. Proceeds from the event went to Leukemia research at the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton. The gala featured music from Edmonton celtic-folk band Captain Tractor, as well as a live and silent auction.
On March 23, your bargaining committee met with the employer at AUPE Headquarters in Edmonton to exchange final proposals.
We’re pleased to report a tentative collective agreement has been reached after just five days of open and thoughtful bargaining with Capital Care Group.
