Peace Fest 2011 breakfast

The organizers and volunteers for the ever successful Peace Fest Pancake Breakfast pose for a photo July 8. Sponsored by the Peace River Area Council and the Peace Country Co-op, this is the 15th year that the pancake breakfast has “officially” kicked off Peace Fest – an annual event held to remember the drastic flooding of Peace River in 1997. Normally, the breakfast is held outdoors, however this year, due to a predicted heavy rainfall, it was moved to the Bingo Hall. Thank you to AUPE Vice-President Erez Raz for travelling up to flip pancakes! Proceeds from the 2011 breakfast were donated to the Fresh Air Outdoor Theatre for their promotion of “Anti-Bullying” in the community.
