EDMONTON – The Alberta Union of Provincial Employees welcomes a group of new members employed at the Riverbend Revera retirement community. The employees voted overwhelmingly in favour of joining the union last Friday.
There is still time to submit nominations for the inaugural AUPE Young Activist Award, as the nomination deadline has been extended until Sept. 12.
Members of the bargaining team for Extendicare Michener Hill count ballots on July 28. The membership approved the agreement proposed by the Disputes Inquiry Board, which was appointed by Alberta Employment and Immigration in May.
