Continuing care employees in Riverbend join AUPE
EDMONTON – The Alberta Union of Provincial Employees welcomes a group of new members employed at the Riverbend Revera retirement community. The employees voted overwhelmingly in favour of joining the union last Friday.

Members of the bargaining team for Extendicare Michener Hill count ballots on July 28. The membership approved the agreement proposed by the Disputes Inquiry Board, which was appointed by Alberta Employment and Immigration in May.

Extendicare employees in Red Deer ratify agreement
RED DEER – Employees at Extendicare Michener Hill have approved a new collective agreement recommended by a provincially appointed Disputes Inquiry Board. The new agreement, the first for employees at the continuing care centre, brings a difficult, year-long negotiating process to a close.
