AUPE’s Occupational Health and Safety Committee met at headquarters Apr. 27 to prepare for the International Day of Mourning Seminar the following day.

AUPE president to meet solicitor general on role of understaffing in Edmonton Remand Centre attacks
EDMONTON — Guy Smith, president of the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees, will meet with Alberta Solicitor-General Frank Oberle about deteriorating security and understaffing within the Edmonton Remand Centre.

COPA visits Alberta's NDP
Members of AUPE’s Committee on Political Action met with Alberta NDP MLAs Brian Mason and Rachel Notley April 27 at the Alberta Legislature. The committee addressed concerns over the state of long-term care in the province.
