EDMONTON – The Alberta Union of Provincial Employees encourages members to participate in the Join Together Alberta rally against cuts to education funding scheduled for Saturday, March 20.
EDMONTON – Correction Peace Officers from Local 003 of the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees will take part in an information picket from 3 to 5 p.m. today beside the Edmonton Remand Centre to protest cutbacks that will compromise safety at provincial correctional facilities.

EDMONTON – Bargaining committee members from each of the nine Alberta Union of Provincial Employees locals that represent more than 21,000 direct employees of the provincial government were meeting in Edmonton today to begin preparations for what is expected to be a challenging round of negotiations with the province.
COPA met at the Edmonton Downtown office on Feb. 23, 2010, then proceeded to a tour of the Legislature to round out the day.
MANNVILLE – Mannville Continuing Care employees working in general support service roles have joined the Alberta Union of Provincial employees.
RIMBEY – Health care workers employed in general support roles at the Rimbey Community Health Centre and the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre have voted to join the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees.
EDMONTON – Due to a cancellation, there is one team spot available for the Fifth Annual AUPE Curling Funspiel on Mar. 26 and 27, 2010. The team spot will be filled on a first-come, first served basis.
The bargaining committee for AUPE Local 020 met at headquarters Mar. 17 to prepare for a pending arbitration hearing with their employer, ATB Financial.
