New collective agreement ratified by Bethany Group, Camrose members
CAMROSE – AUPE Local 047/002 members employed by the Bethany Group in the Camrose area have ratified a new, three-year collective agreement that will take effect April 1, 2009.
AUPE intervention means employers will assume cost of pension transfer
EDMONTON – Employees of the Alberta Cancer Board and Alberta Alcohol and Drug Abuse Commission will not have to pay for any costs associated with their pension being transferred on April 1, thanks to actions taken by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees.

An actress (and AUPE member) was at work Friday on a TV advertisement to support striking workers at the Valleyview Care Centre in Medicine Hat. TV, radio and newspaper ads are scheduled to begin running next week.
