Santa pays a visit to Local 095's Annual Children's Christmas Party at Foothills
Local 095 hosted its Annual Children’s Christmas Party Dec. 9 at Calgary’s Foothills Medical Centre. More than 300 children and parents met with Santa and were entertained by a magician, face painters and tattoo artists.
Provincial government members encouraged to complete online bargaining survey
EDMONTON – AUPE General Service members employed with the provincial government should take the opportunity to complete an online bargaining survey that will help its bargaining committee develop proposals for upcoming negotiations in 2007.
Employee Benefits Committee meet
Members of the Employee Benefits Committee, formed under Article 049 of the Provincial government/AUPE Master Agreement, met at the union’s Edmonton Headquarters Dec. 7, to discuss benefit costs and investments of the benefit plans.
Women's Committee donates close to $14,000 to Alberta women's shelters
The Women’s Committee presented a cheque for $14,000 Dec. 11 to Jan Reimer, Provincial Coordinator of the Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters. The proceeds were raised by Locals 095 and 118 and That 70s Show and Silent Auction.
AUPE members reject mediators recommended terms for settlement with the Alberta Cancer Board
EDMONTON – Members of the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees who work for the Alberta Cancer Board voted overwhelmingly in a province-wide ballot to reject a mediator’s recommended terms for settlement.
