AUPE members at Northern Lakes College ratify new collective agreement
SLAVE LAKE – Members of the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees who work at Northern Lakes College today ratified a new three-year collective agreement that includes across-the-board pay increases of at least 12.4 per cent over the life of the contract.
AUPE and Alberta Research Council reach tentative agreement; ratification vote set for July 12
EDMONTON – Negotiators for AUPE and the Alberta Research Council today reached a tentative agreement that includes pay increases of at least 11.25 per cent over three years, plus improved benefits and a fairer formula for determining employees’ compensation.

Edmonton Area Council Family Barbecue
Beautiful sunny skies and warm temperatures greeted more than 400 members and their families June 24 at the Edmonton Area Council’s Annual Family Picnic held at BBQ Acres in Edmonton. Participants and their children were treated to jumpy toys, games and prizes, a petting zoo and terrific food (can’t forget that tasty cotton candy!) and fun. AUPE Vice-President Brad Smith and the union’s Executive Secretary-Treasurer Bill Dechant helped pull off the event, as did a long list of EAC members and AUPE staff members. The picnic ran from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

LAC LA BICHE – Members of the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees who work at Portage College today voted to ratify a three-year collective agreement that includes pay increases of 12.5 per cent over the life of the contract.
Supportive living workers in northern Alberta ratify new agreement
PEACE RIVER – Members of one of AUPE’s smallest bargaining units, employees of Accredited Supportive Living Services Ltd., have ratified a one-year collective agreement that includes pay increases of 3 to 15 per cent.
