AUPE golf tournament raises close to $10,000 for United Way
EDMONTON – A total of 171 golfers enjoyed a memorable day at AUPE’s first charity golf tournament on Aug. 27 — and raised close to $10,000 for the United Way in the process.
More than 1,000 expected at AUPE barbecue on U of C campus tomorrow
CALGARY – More than 1,000 Alberta Union of Provincial Employees members and guests are expected to attend Thursday’s member appreciation barbecue on the University of Calgary campus.
The event, which will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the South Lawn of the MacEwan Student Centre, is being organized by AUPE Local 052 to show appreciation for the hard work done for the university community by the local’s members.
Local 052 represents approximately 2,800 U of C non-academic employees.
A shuttle bus has been chartered to make sure U of C employees at off-campus locations can attend the barbecue.
