Application forms are now available for the 2013 AUPE Labour School, taking place from March 3-7, 2013 at the Delta Lodge at Kananaskis in Kananaskis Country. Members must complete any required prerequisites by Oct. 4, 2012, to be eligible to attend the school.
Six courses will be offered at the 2013 Labour School, with each class limited to a maximum of 24 participants. The courses are:
- Advanced Steward
- Advanced Occupational Health and Safety Advocate
- Duty to Accommodate
- Direct Action
- Labour History
Details on prerequisites and complete registration deadlines can be found in the application form. Applications must be received by chapter chairs by Oct. 5, 2012, and any prerequisites must be completed by Oct. 4, 2012. AUPE’s Labour School is an advanced school. It is intended for members that have taken either one- or two-day AUPE education courses and are active in their component.
