AADAC members ratify new three-year collective agreement with employer
EDMONTON – AADAC employees, members of AUPE Local 059/001, ratified a new three-year collective agreement today with the employer.
The agreement includes wage increases of 4.9 per cent in the first year, 4.8 per cent in the second and 4.3 per cent in the final year of the deal, which mirrors the provincial government’s General Service Master Agreement.
Additional improvements contained in the agreement include:
- A signing bonus of $1,500 for all members, pro-rated for part-time, seasonal and wage employees
- A new core benefits package effective July 1, 2008, plus an enhanced benefits package available at members’ own cost.
- New Letters of Understanding
- 55th to 57th Parallel Retention Program
- North of 57th parallel Northern Trips
- Northern Leave
The new agreement expires on Dec. 31, 2010.
Members of the Local 059/001 Bargaining Committee tabulated ratification ballots Feb. 29 at AUPE Headquarters.
The committee bargained on behalf of approximately 810 employees of the Alberta Alcohol and Drug Addiction Commission.
