Government employees scheduled to receive lump sum payment June 10

Government of Alberta employees who are eligible for the first lump sum payment of $1,750 as specified in the collective agreement signed May 17 should receive the payment on June 10.

Union officials have been in contact with the employer and have been told that the payment should be processed for the pay period ending June 10. AUPE also reminds members that administrative delays can occur, which would result in the payment not processed being for that pay period. Both AUPE and the government of Alberta thank members for their patience and understanding.

EDMONTON — Members of the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees directly employed by the government of Alberta have voted overwhelmingly to ratify a new collective agreement with the province.

Final GSBC ballots to be sent out this week

EDMONTON – Ballots on the tentative agreement for more than 22,000 AUPE members who work directly for the government of Alberta will be arriving at members’ homes this week. Ballots must be received at AUPE headquarters by 12 p.m. May 11, 2011, to be counted.

GSBC ballots in the mail for master agreement

AUPE mailroom staff put together ballot packages to be sent to the approximately 21,000 direct employees of the government of Alberta. These members will be voting on the recent tentative master agreement reached between AUPE and the Alberta government last week.
