Bargaining is continuing following the sale of Century Park to Optima Living Alberta Ltd., although the same employer representative is at the table. At mediation on June 21, Optima tabled proposals for extensive rollbacks to your collective agreement that would affect your income. AUPE has asserted that moving backwards in collective bargaining is illegal, and we requested a full explanation for the rationale of Optima’s rollback proposals. To date, Optima has not responded to this request nor have they proposed any further dates for bargaining.
