Knowledge is power! Labour education helps ensure AUPE members are trained and willing to take a stand for public services, decent jobs and fairness in the workplace and their communities. AUPE’s Education Program is responsible for developing and delivering continuing education courses to members and officers in support of the role they perform in their Union.

AUPE also organizes an annual Labour School. Applications for the 2016 Labour School have been mailed out to Local and Chapter Chairs. Applications will be available on our website from until Sept. 14, 2015. All applications are due to be received by your Chapter Chair or Local Chair (for those that don’t belong to a Chapter) by Sept. 12, 2016.
Members can use hours accumulated in our education programming towards a certificate or a degree with Athabasca University. Scholarships and bursaries are available to AUPE members pursuing post-secondary education through our Member Education Assistance Fund.
