Mobilization 2012

AUPE members in every sector are faced with instability during tough economic conditions and a rapidly changing political landscape. AUPE has seen tough times before, like the mid-1990s, when the government rolled back wages by 5% and laid off thousands of our co-workers.

Around the province, from High Level to High River, AUPE members are standing together to defend the important services and quality jobs provided in their communities.

AUPE Vice-Presidents are working in your region to help bring AUPE members together, build the networks needed, and support members taking a stand.

Contact them if:

  • You have not yet had a Mobilization meeting in your community or worksite, they can help have one arranged.
  • You are interested in taking the Mobilizing class. AUPE has developed a Mobilizing course to help you develop strategies and learn more about how unions respond to tough talk from their employers.
  • You are interested in volunteering in our campaign to defend the valuable services we provide.
