Members of the Capital Health Region General Support Services Bargaining Committee met at AUPE headquarters on March 31.

Assisted by AUPE Union Representative Greg Maruca, the committee faces the task of negotiating a new region-wide collective agreement for all General Support Service employees of the Edmonton-area health region.

The requirement for a region-wide agreement is part of the process started when provincial Legislature passed Bill 27, a law to reorganize labour relations in Alberta’s nine health regions, in March 2003.
