BUSC held in Red Deer
AUPE members from throughout Central Alberta took part in a Basic Union
Steward Course in Red Deer on March 11 and 12.
The course, one of numerous offerings by AUPE’s Education Section,
was led by Union Representative Malcolm McNaughton and Membership Services
Officers Kathy Kadyk and Gil Laflamme at the Black Knight Inn in Red Deer.
There were 34 participants in this class — two members of the Provincial
Government Sector employed at the Red Deer Remand Centre and the rest
from health care facilities in Red Deer, Drumheller, Stettler, Hanna,
Three Hills and other communities.
