Economic Outlook available on the Web
 EDMONTON
– AUPE Research Officer Aaron Mireau’s Economic Outlook publication
is now available on the Internet in PDF format. The first edition may
be read by clicking
here.
Mireau, who was hired by AUPE in December, said the publication presents
economic indicators such as inflation, energy prices, unemployment rates
and labour settlements for use by AUPE members and employees.
Economic Outlook also provides some thoughts on the future state of
the Alberta economy for use by union representatives and negotiators.
"My objective is to provide members and staff involved in negotiations
with accurate and relevant information that we can use
to put together a strong case to employers in negotiations for new collective
agreements," Mireau said.
Mireau most recently worked as a Labour Relations Analyst with the
Industrial Wood and Allied Workers of Canada union in Vancouver.
