AUPE President Dan MacLennan will comment in Calgary on Alberta health
strategy
CALGARY — Alberta Union of Provincial Employees President Dan
MacLennan will be in Calgary tomorrow to comment to media on the provincial
government’s announcement of its health care reform strategy.
Premier Ralph Klein has scheduled a news conference at 9:30 a.m., June
30, at Calgary’s MacDougall Centre at which he will set out the
Alberta government’s plans for changes to health care funding.
As the representative of more than 26,000 front-line health care workers
with a total membership of approximately 58,000 members throughout Alberta,
AUPE has a vital interest in health care funding policy.
MacLennan will be available to comment on the premier’s announcement
immediately after the Calgary news conference.
