AUPE President Dan MacLennan available for media interviews in Calgary today

CALGARY — Alberta Union of Provincial Employees President Dan MacLennan – in Calgary today for meetings with health care and education sector union leaders – will be available for interviews with Calgary media throughout the day.

MacLennan will be meeting members of Local 095, which represents General Support Service employees of the Calgary Health Region, at facilities throughout the city and with members of AUPE Local 052 at the University of Calgary.

In interviews with media, MacLennan is prepared to set out AUPE’s positions on the problems with public-private partnerships to fund public facilities, the effects of inadequate funding on the Alberta post-secondary education and health care systems, legislation affecting smoking in Alberta, the upcoming federal election and any other topics of concern to journalists.
