Employees at Grace Manor choose AUPE as their union

EDMONTON – Employees at Grace Manor operated by the Salvation Army voted overwhelmingly last Thursday in a Labour Relations Board supervised vote to be represented by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees.

Grace Manor is 100-bed residence for seniors who need assistance with the tasks of daily living.

"The vote result shows that Salvation Army employees at Grace Manor recognize that they’re better off being represented by a union," said AUPE President Dan MacLennan.

"AUPE clearly remains the union of choice for health care workers in Alberta."
Grace Manor is located in Edmonton.
