Whistlebower legislation seminar
AUPE President Dan MacLennan and University of Calgary political scientist Dr. Keith Archer led a seminar on whistleblower legislation on the evening of May 18. Earlier Wednesday, the Parkland Institute released a study on whistleblower laws authored by Archer that called for implementation of such legislation in Alberta. MacLennan told participants in the seminar that AUPE strongly supports the idea of whistleblower legislation to protect all public employees, including employees of health regions, boards, agencies, municipal governments and educational institutions.
