Seventh Annual Grandparents Day Picnic
More than 600 people attended AUPE's Seventh Annual Grandparents Day Picnic held Sept. 6 on the Alberta Legislature grounds. Organized by the union's Women's Committee, the annual picnic is held to honour the contributions made by senior citizens to Alberta society, while calling on the provincial government to provide adequate funding for long-term care, said AUPE President Doug Knight.
