Local 054 Steward Training
Close to 75 Stewards from Local 054 attended a Stewards Training Course at AUPE Headquarters June 21. Members were updated on the Local’s new receiving agreement, which amalgamated 11 contracts into one receiving agreement as a result of Bill 27 legislation. Primary focus was given to explaining changes to the new collective agreement, including: Article 18, Layoff and Recall; Article 31, Vacation; and Article 35, Leave of Absence.
