EAC Annual Children's Christmas Carnival
The smiling faces of more than 1,000 members and their children participated in the 2005 AUPE Edmonton Area Council Children's Christmas Carnival held at the Northlands Agricom Dec.11. Santa Claus and his six elves were also in attendance, providing each child with a present and goodie bag, and perhaps more importantly, lasting memories of a magical afternoon. Airbrush and balloon artists, clowns and a magician were also on hand to entertain those in attendance. Children also participated in cookie decorating and ornament making, before enjoying a yummy hot dog lunch. The Edmonton Area Council’s volunteer committee organized the event, which have become one of the Council’s most well attended and successful. A special thank you goes out to MSO Kathie Milne for her support and valued advice. Members who attended the event also dug deep into their hearts, filling two boxes with food, which was donated along with an additional $25 to the Edmonton Food Bank.
