DOVE Award 2010
Long-time Local 003 activist Linda Laminman received the 2010 DOVE Award at AUPE Headquarters on Mar. 12, 2010. Laminman is a Correctional Service Worker at the Red Deer Remand Centre, and is in her seventh year as a member of the Local 003 Executive. She has also been a valued member of the AUPE Finance Committee for five years, and has attended many Conventions and rallies as an AUPE Local 003 representative.

About the union Linda Laminman spoke about her experiences with AUPE. When asked by her grandmother why she was involved with AUPE, she replied that most times working people get a raw deal, and unions help them get better ones.
