Accommodation and Transportation

Accommodation

The following hotels have been designated event hotels. The numbers in brackets following refer to their locations on this Conference Centre area map. It is the Local’s responsibility to book guest rooms for their Delegates, Observers, and Provincial Executive member directly with the hotel.

  • Courtyard by Marriott (10)
  • Crowne Plaza Chateau Lacombe Edmonton (13)
  • Coast Edmonton House (15 – was Edmonton House Suite Hotel)

All Locals must deal directly with the hotels for their hospitality room requirements. Specific room and floor requests may also be arranged with the hotel.

Transportation

Delegates will receive notification of which bus/van they are to take and the boarding location in the Reports & Resolutions package mailed out to all Delegates approximately three weeks prior to Convention.

NOTE: Delegates who do not take advantage of the bus transportation provided by AUPE Headquarters will not be paid out of town mileage. Delegates who park their vehicles at the Shaw Conference Centre or the Hotel parking lots will be doing so at their own risk. AUPE and the Hotels will not be responsible for any damages that may occur.
