This two-day course provides union officers (Chairs, Vice-Chairs, Secretaries, Treasurers, Secretary-Treasurers, Chief Stewards, Local Council Representatives, Alternate Local Council Representatives, Provincial Executive Members and Alternate Provincial Executive Members) with information on AUPE’s structure, the roles and responsibilities of union officers, effective meetings, rules of order, and speaking in a union context. The course ends with a mock meeting to provide an opportunity to apply some of the knowledge gained in the course.

Course Requirement:
Must be elected to the position of Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Council Rep, Alternate Council Rep, Chief Union Steward of Chapters and/or Locals, Provincial Executive, and alternate Provincial Executive.
