Anti-Privatization Standing Committee 5 Year Plan
- Review the anti-privatization orientation package every January
- Educate AUPE members
- Ensure all locals have sub-committees
- Assist in strengthening Local sub-committees
- Find out where privatization is/might be happening in conjunction with research being done at AUPE headquarters
- Continue to maintain relationships with natural allies i.e. PIA (Public Interest Alberta), Friends of Medicare, political candidates, other Unions and community resources just to mention a few
- Attain a summary of the Auditor General’s report from AUPE’s Researchers
- Lobby all levels of government on the issues of privatization
- Utilize AUPE resources
- Strengthen communication plan
