Anti-Privatization Committee meets
Members of AUPE’s Anti-Privatization Committee met at union headquarters Jan. 12 in Edmonton. This was the first meeting at headquarters for the standing committee, which added new members following AUPE’s Convention in October 2011.

Uniform staffing, wages, cleaning standards for private sector continuing care a must: AUPE President
EDMONTON – Alberta Union of Provincial Employees President Guy Smith reacted to the Auditor General’s findings on private continuing care facilities today, calling on Alberta Health Services to implement uniform standards for cleanliness, staffing levels, and wages.
Convention delegates rally at Legislature
Delegates to AUPE’s 35th Annual Convention rallied at the Alberta Legislature to demonstrate their opposition to privatization and the pride they take in delivering services to Albertans.
